I went to the grand opening also. It was, in a word, unbelievable!! Re-creating the starting line, all the memorabilia, all the cars.....it was all there!! There were around 15-20 "cackle" cars in the parking lot, which were firing up randomly when we first got there. The "Hurst Hemi-Under-Glass" was there also. After a few hours we were about to leave when we heard that it was going to do a wheelie in the parking lot!! See video below!! Just crazy!! After that, ALL of the cackle cars fired up one at a time and pushed over to where we were standing!! Quite a site (and smell!!). Just amazing!! And to think I was fortunate enough to have raced there back in the day.......
