Wow! I hope nobody here lives in that county. If that was getting seriously enforced all the time that would suck.

This is what breaking the love affair with the automobile looks like on a cultural basis that finds it’s roots in regulatory overreach.

I can't believe that those Cali progressives would discriminate against lower income folks that need to spin wrenches to keep their clunkers on the road.
When know those rich folks that are enjoying their toxic privilege aren't working on their leased Beemers.

Here is the county reason for the law...
"The chemicals involved in major automobile repair can pollute neighborhoods and endanger the health and wellbeing of residents. Furthermore, this kind of activity increases vehicle traffic and the visual impact can negatively impact property values."
Some politician or power to be pushed this one..

"....this kind of activity increases vehicle traffic...."
Huh? You mean traffic is increased because I am able to affordably fix my own car and get it back on the road and get to work now?

I think if some had their way there would be no more automobiles on the road. They would love to ban our old musclecars.

It is illegal to work on your own car on your own property but it is still perfectly legal to take a steaming dump on a public street, yay California! :D
