Original tranny, original 4:11 rear, tank sticker, original carbs, original heads, original spare and dated red line per the tank sticker, original wheels and trim rings,TI amp is there less the distributor. PO has the distributor and he is going to sale it to me. Glass is original, frame is nice complete with 50 years of grease and grime. Car looks great Lawrence, L71 2 top Roadster with a very nice original paint body!!!
Can't wait to see it after you get done cleaning and detailing it...
Are you going to have it at Bloomington / Hendricks in Charlotte?

Thanks James.
I certainly would like to but likely will not have time to get it ready. I need to start getting the W30 ready for MCACN.

Got the NCRS paperwork back and the car was sold new at
Dick Fencl Chevrolet
Oak Park, Il
This is the first time the car has been out of IL since it was new per the previous owners.

Might not be the way it was originally delivered but I’d absolutely love to see it with PO2 wheel covers!

Fencl was a Yenko network dealer if I am not mistaken.
You're thinking of Fencl-Tufo in Glendale Heights,Il.

Look forward to pressure washing the chassis,
Pressure washing seems a little harsh. I think there's less invasive techniques to try. :)

I have done it several times to my cars with good success. Just need to use the "wash" nozzle on the wand. Still need to be careful not to wash away original stickers and such.

Unfortunately a PO was compelled to install an aftermarket radio system in my car. Good news it was one of those systems that fits in a box in the rear compartment. I have been dismantling the array of wires, and pulled the rear compartment glove box/battery/storage frame out yesterday. Someone had the storage tray under the frame and I could not get the tray out. After getting it all out and looking for the jack I found it sitting there. Some surface rust but nothing Evap O Rust can’t remove.
Here are a few pics of the car with out the hard top.

Finally got a chance to clay bar the paint, and put a coat of #7 glaze on the paint afterwards. Paint still has a good shine. I am happy with it thus far. Still have a few things to clean, and fix.
In the carport shots the paint looks like it has a white haze in the photos but there is nothing on the paint. Very weird must be the lighting?

Thanks guys I appreciate it. I enjoy polishing on paint to see how far I can bring it. When I got the red Chevelle it was a complete mess. I took a buffer, number 83 and 115 to cut the 20 years of gunk off of it. Got a nice shine out of the Caddy red! It needs to be restored, lots of bad body work but a real numbers L78 with a build sheet. I restored the chassis, rebuilt the engine and it is a blast to drive...but not as much fun as the Vette :)

It's looking GREAT!
FWIW The photographic appearance of the "whitish haze" is probably due to the reflection of the white garage roof and walls on the glossy surface of the car.

You are correct James. After I posted that I realized what it was.
I will take your lead on the black car wax, and thanks for the help and advice.
