Just watched video 1-
Fantastic project and really first class job on narration- not easy to make it flow as nice as it does here. Looking forwards to seeing progress!

Great presentation...very nice!

Just curious...are the brakes lines available commercially in stainless steel..or do they have to be made up custom??

Just to re-affirm our similar taste in cars I had this 14000 mile car about 15 years ago. Its really kind of eerie. m

Really enjoy watching your build through the well documented videos. You can teach a thing or two to most of the folks that post "do it yourself" videos.

Keep up the super work.

Paul

PS - I am just itching to see the car work.

With that said, everything has a price...L-O-L.

Ok I thought I had it right. I used some of the info in your other build for my '69. STILL having a hard time with rear wheels. My approach is a bit different. I went with Smith Racecraft split mono's with there Assassin bars and rear roller sliders. I have OEM 15 X 8 Vette style rallys and MT 275 PRO tire. I found a 1966 L79 Nova 12 bolt that another racer had built and bought that. It too has 35 spline internals and C-clip eliminator kit. Was a BBc turbo in a 70 1/2 Z28 that was running 7.50's. So should hold up to my 475 inch 785Hp ZL-1.

Small update on my project I finally (Finally!) have the back wheels and tires installed. It took what seemed like forever to have the back wheels built.....and then painted to match (locally) They're 15X8's with a 5.25-inch backspace. Tires are M&H Racemaster P275-60R15 drag radials. And it all fits....L-O-L! It will likely settle down another 1/2-inch or so on the back. The front end height is adjustable (coil overs), but I'll have to wait to set it up until the engine, transmission and other bits are installed. I have a few more little things to do (for example, waiting on Steve Gregori for my hood hinges, catch and latch....he tells me after this, he's closing the doors). Then the roller is done (!!!) and I can concentrate on the fat block.

Wayne, you seem to have a bit more room on the back then me? I see your running M&H looks like just the drag radial, I have MT ET Street PRO's. I'm also trying to run OEM 15 X 8 Vette rallys.

Can't seem to get the size right to post....

Wayne, what is the drum to drum on that custom rear end?

My car is an original 1969 L34 396/350Hp 4 sp car, motor and trans LONG LONG gone. Some time in the 80's as I've owned the car since about 1995. Not sure if the rear end is original to the car, but swapped it out for a 1966 Nova 12 bolt to TRY and gain the right backspacing with the stock Vette wheels. I believe I lost just over an 1" per side. Like to run flat caps and rings on it.

I built a 785Hp+ ZL-1 for my car. Sorta like the F.A.S.T. series guys but not as picky. It's just for me to play with and have some fun.
