I bought this yesterday at a swap meet and seller said he thinks it came out of a 1967 Impala SS Big Block with bench seat.
Just wanted to confirm if it is in fact for this car or something else?
He also had the cut part from the cross member and the reverse rod has a bracket switch with rod. There are no part numbers on any rod except for the "W" deep stamp.
Thanks in advance if you can help.

----Others will probably tell you exactly what your shifter is, But I can tell you that I believe the 67 Impala's with 4-speeds all had round, lift up reverse shifters. This is after 67!......Bill S

I had the other photos with the Rods set up incorrectly, now on there properly with new photos. What is this For?

Reverse has a bracket with a reverse rod to activate a switch and Orange Cover inside to hold grease.

Does anyone have a 1968 Impala with 4 Speed M20 M21 to compare?

Also attached to the bottom of the big main bracket is Pieces cut off from the original Cross Member.

The orange cap is part of the reverse lockout. http://www.camaros.org/shifters.shtml#sag

Thank you for the info,
So Orange Dust cap covers the Reverse Lockout Ball Bearing and rods/stabilizer rod/stabilizer bracket are unique to Big Block applications.

All though it is Camaro Info I did learn Big Block Muncie parts are very different then Small Block/Saginaw/Hurst parts.

A good read for sure. I will be posting the entire lot in the "For Sale" section soon as I am confident I can represent the part accurately now. I have 3 PM's so far interested that I do so.

Late seeing this, but that is NOT an Impala shifter. Not at all. Looks like a Chevelle bracket and bench seat Chevelle handle.

I have a 1968 to 1972 Complete Muncie assembly that I compared here at home and it was not close to matching up, main bracket is taller then the Chevelle one and has a different shape to it.
Had 3 PM's from members confirming it is definitely a 68 Impala big block Muncie shifter assembly, yes Handle was not correct so buyer did not want it and I kept it for future use for a bench seat 70 Chevelle.
Also a Chevelle Muncie assembly did not have the Orange Dust cap that covers the Reverse Lockout Ball Bearing and rods/stabilizer rod/stabilizer bracket.

My apologies. I looked on a computer screen and can see it better now. Tired of seeing Chevelle handles always advertised as Impala. Nice shifter. $6-800 any time they come up. Not many left!

Wow sold it to cheap but glad a 68 guy got it. I bought that by accident thinking it was for a 1970 Chevelle, worked out well for everyone.
