Hell of a car for the $42k asking price - great colors and options, too. 3rd owner, sold new out of Jack Schmidt Olds in Columbus.

----So when you ordered a 1970 W31 you also had to order dual exhaust for 30 bucks? Weird! But what a beauty......Bill S

I am not sure how this worked exactly but N10 was part of W31... I think it is a mandstory option.

I like everything about it other than for me personally, it's missing the B-Pillar.
More on the exhaust thing, could you option a W31 w/ the 442 Bumper & Tips?
:beers:

This W-31 was up for sale a while back, when it was in Michigan. Made a deal pending my inspection . It was to be all original sheet metal with no prior rust repair. Well it wasn't, so I drove 10 hours round trip with an empy trailer and cash in hand..... I remember scanning craigs list to try and find something to bring home. It was an OK driver and the real deal with docs, which is hard to find. Prices have moved up on documented numbers matching W-31s. Lots of clones and no docs cars out there.

Ryan, you probably know the Oldsmobiles much better than me, but I used to own a 70 Cutlass SX convertible that had the cutouts, and I was told that it was factory. Was I told wrong?

I know specifically in 1969 the Cutlass couldn’t be ordered with cutouts andntrumpets only 442. There is so much to know about the whole brand... I am learning but not an expert!!

Both 70 & 71 SX had the cut out bumper . Was part of the SX package .

Wish I still had my 70 SX convertible. One of the cars I should have kept. I think I read somewhere that there were less than 1000 SX convertibles built in 70.

This W31 has been relisted in the link below, with a $43,000 buy-it-now price.... Cool car with nice docs and special paint, doesn't get much better.
