I have heard some noise around the traps that Cragar is in the throws of reproducing the 15x4 SS wheels.
Anyone here heard the same?

I thought I heard that they were going to make the 4.5” again...not the 4”.

You may well be right Kurt.

Rumors are correct. From what I have heard they will the same style as last produced as 15x4.5” and pretty sure they will be flat spoke. Someone posted on fb about them in the Cragar group.

Just read that Cragar are looking at a Sema release.

Hopefully they will make direct drill, non-unilug. Rob
Hope they make em with the original hoop design as well.

Hope they make them with the original rounded spokes. I do not like the flat spoke'd design they have done as of late.

They are making the 15x4.5 flat spokes... which will keep the value of our old school round spoke 15x4 direct bolt in high demand.

I read over the weekend that US Mags (I think) is making some wheels that look just like Cragar SS's but with the older style more rounded spoke, and the Cragar SS center caps fit them. Has anyone seen these in person?

Since Cragar bringing back the 15x4.5 wheels.....it should bring the price back down on the flat spoke ones for sale...$2000???:crazy:

Some of the prices being asked lately is just plain stupid, but there is still stuff out there that can be bought right.
I actually think that the prices may settle some when the new ones are released as they will fill the demand for those who could care less about the flat spoke/round spoke debate.

I correct myself, it's US Wheels.

These US Wheels look much better than the repro Cragar flat spoke. Has anyone confirmed that the Cragar center caps do fit these wheels? I want the original Cragar look without the price of good used round spoke Cragars.

Those are a sharp looking wheel, and I agree they are much better looking than the flat spoke wheels Cragar now offers. I'd use those over the new Cragar's myself.
Love the final product, but doesn't CRAGAR own that?
How can US Wheel copy the old CRAGAR design exactly?

I don't know how exact that wheel is in terms of a copy. I have a pretty good eye for lines and would bet the spokes are narrowed a bit over the originals? Or at least they look a bit narrower, like 1/4" or thereabout. I see that hoop is a bit different as well, and those 2 things should be enough to bypass any patent laws or infringement issues.

I read some posts on FB where guys got these wheels and the Cragar SS center caps fit, but don't know first hand.

Still not a bad looking wheel but I really can't get into those flat spokes.

$295 each is the word on price.

It's really too bad that wheel companies can't keep the original design elements in place. Today's American TTDs and TTOs aren't exact copies of the original '60s wheels and these new Cragars have those inexplicably flat spokes. You'd think they'd want to take advantage of enthusiasts who want new wheels that are the same as their old wheels. Maybe I just don't understand business?

Along the same lines of thought 427TJ, I'm surprised no one makes a radial tire that looks like the old bias ply tires with the squared shoulders. I think if someone made a duplicate of the Pro Trac tires from BITD that looked just as they did back then, they'd probably sell a million of them.

To add to that, how about some G-60 or L-60 14" sizes for the thousands of cars running original 14" muscle car wheels but would like a "day 2" wide tire out back. Not much available anywhere in 14" sizes.
