My car is an auto, air, gauge car with 35K miles, original paint. Not a perfect car but an honest car. I have been driving it to work, and around town. I have come to the realization that having a nice auto car with air is really enjoyable, even in our quest for high HP muscle cars. Just super enjoyable. The AM radio works well and I can listen to sports radio or whatever else. Don't get me wrong, I love my high winding solid lifter cars, but man this is the "gentleman's muscle car".
I was told by members here when I bought this car I would really enjoy it, and the commentary was dead on. Make me wonder what the 70 Stage 1 cars are like??
I now know why my Dad drove Olds back in the day :burnout:

Oh, there is the tire shredding torque that does not suck either:headbang:

I love Oldsmobile's and the 442's, especially the automatic version. Can you refresh us with a current picture?

That’s awesome, Lawrence!! Looking forward to seeing it there. Don’t you worry...plenty of CLT overnights for me ahead. And we have a Chevelle to chat about!:burnout:

Cheers

Kool W-30. Only 262 post W-30s in 1970! Is this the one that Hendrix had? Looking forward to seeing it in person at MCACN.

Very similar to Albert Galdi’s 70 442 W30 Sports Coupe

The 1970 to 1972 version of the 442 is just beautiful.

Very "original" stance seldom seen these days with all the incorrect repro springs.

Original shocks with stickers still on the car. The original springs with the spring tags still on the car.

Thank you!
Cant wait to see your car. I will be taking notes for sure.
Fred and I private messaged about your car right after you guys picked it up. I had posted a few questions on the Olds site he had helped with and during the exchange he mentioned the car.
See you in MCACN
