Welp, time to get Crunchy down here and I’m wondering the best way to do it. Part of me wants to rent a U-Haul and just jam down here with the parts in the back, car on a trailer, and do it on my own. But that comes with several pitfalls which the biggest is...I simply don’t wanna do that!:frown:

So does anyone out there know of anyone that hauls project cars, enclosed, along with parts (engine will be on a rolling cradle) that isn’t backed up until MArch of 2030 or later? :dunno: This would be for a 1970 Cuda from around the Stewart, Newburg, NY area to the Glen Rose area Southwest of Ft. Worth.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys!!!!:burnout:

Cheers:beers:

The U-haul car trailers are really nice. I rented their pickup also, not ragging mine thru the mountains. The hotel staff was great and showed me a good parking spot for the security cameras. It was a fantastic trip.

Dave, you may want to check out uship.com and put all of your needs/requirements out there for full disclosure to a potential shipper. I think your needs aren't the easiest ones to accommodate like a running newer car with no parts, so you'll definitely get less carriers responding but the ones who do respond will know exactly what your job consists of. Just an idea. I used them a few times and so far, so good.

Good info. Thanks guys! Yes, I know Lee... but it's more of a time issue. I guess we'll see what kind of quotes I get.

Cheers

ive got all my own trucks/trailers so ive never rented, but out of curiosity what did it cost to rent the whole rig? by the mile or just days?
