If I may I wanted to show you Pontiac guys my latest toy, I bought this at Hershey last month. 64 Catalina/Ventura, factory 4 speed car with 82k miles. Was sold new in Roanoke, Va. Original interior except for the carpet, motor doesn't appear to have been out of the car. Most of the paint except for the quarters appears to be original. The original 14" wheels and wheel covers have been replaced with 15" wheels and small caps and some chrome has been added under the hood. Runs and drives great. Hard to have too many Pontiacs, my Pontiac collection includes 59 to 64 big cars, all 4 speeds except for the 59, it's an automatic. This 64 was one of the most difficult to locate, I assume because most people who would purchase a 4 speed performance car in 64 would choose a GTO.

My brother had a 59 Catalina that I would sneak out while he was away in the National Guard. My Mom had a 59 Star Chief. I later learned to drive in her blue 64 Bonneville. In high school I would borrow my Dad's 69 Grand Prix. Those cars bring back memories. Mom's license on her 64 was AVA 248 and no idea why I still remember that.

Great Purchase! 4 Speed, tri color bench seat and Skyline Blue (H), that's my favorite color and one of the rarest in the Pontiac World!

Sure about that?

Approx 3,285 T/2 389s built in 1964. Most were Catalinas.

Just saying "beautiful" hardly seems adequate.

This 64 was one of the most difficult to locate, I assume because most people who would purchase a 4 speed performance car in 64 would choose a GTO.

It looks like it may have been built and sold early in the '64 model year, perhaps before the GTO package was widely known or available.

Maybe after taking this car the original owner was wishing he chose a GTO...

...although probably not.

I should of expressed myself better, I was talking about the color "SkyLine Blue" as being a color that is rare, like my mother-in-law (RIP) making a Roast Beef not well done!
A Great Looking Car for sure

Charlie, This might bring back some memories for you, my 59.
