Happy Thanksgiving to all!

I will be posting the pictures that I took at this years Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals over the next few days.

I'd like to thank the principals and all of the folks that are involved with every facet of the show that make it enjoyable and a success-and also make it THE preeminent Muscle Car show to be at. I can't even count how many times I heard that statement made over the weekend...MCACN is the place to be!

I'd also like to thank Bob Ashton for allowing me the opportunity to take photos after hours for everyone to enjoy-and to hopefully make those who happen to miss this years show-to experience it in PERSON!

The friends that I looks forward to seeing at this show..and the new friends that I meet every year are the biggest reason that I enjoy the show. Don't get me wrong, the cars are AMAZING, but it's the folks and the stories behind the cars that make the weekend go by in a blink of an eye.:youguysrock:

The first group are some random shots from Saturday morning, including:

Doug Perry's Superman Yenko
The minibike display
The kids area
MCACN Judges hard at work
The A12 area overview and a detail shot
Crash talking to Jake Dykstra

How's that for significant? The owner has spent over 40 years bringing this car back to its original glory, and has shown it only at Pebble Beach several years ago.

Bruce . . . first of all . . . a BIG thank you for posting all the photos. For some reason sites like Hot Rod and Bang Shift haven't posted photos of the show which is something they normally do.

This photo below. The car is I believe, one of the four 1970 Hemi RR convertibles. But the placard in front of it says 1969 which it isn't. Bob A. said that there would be 3 of the 4 cars at the show (the 4th was destroyed years ago). Is this car the 3rd one?

Hi Lee, I would have to defer to someone more knowledgeable...but I believe that you are correct?

Glad that you are enjoying the photos!

There were four 70 Hemi/auto Roadrunner converts on display (if you add the fresh resto Plum Crazy Car). I asked one of the guys by the unrestored car if all four cars were here-he said yes, all four Hemi autos. He said there was one 4speed made, but was confirmed destroyed years ago. Maybe someone here can verify.

I talked to one of the guys associated with the B3 and B5 cars and he said there were 5 Hemi Road Runner convertibles known to have been built in 1970. The four automatic cars were present at the show and the fifth car, which was a 4 speed, was destroyed early in it's life. The 1 of 4 signs by the cars were kind of misleading unless they were just referring to automatic cars.

11-30-2019, 10:27 AM
I didn't speak to anyone at the show about this topic but intentionally circled back to this display to see if all 4 were there. There were indeed 4 70 Roadrunner verts with Hemi's in them. Only 3 of them had the "1 of 4" denotation on their MCACN sign so I assumed the 4th one was a transplant. Just an assumption on my part. I believe that the destroyed one was a drag strip warrior in NW Ohio back in the day.

Bruce is the ultimate ambassador for our hobby, our site and MCACN show. His tireless efforts are very much appreciated. I can't express the thanks and bestow enough accolades upon Bruce.... who is so deserving. Bruce literally brought the show to those who unfortunately were unable to attend MCACN, and this was no small task

He embodies the best part of our hobby and is looked up to by all. His wife Lynn and Holly make it a family affair with their bright smiles and engaging conversations.:BruceRocks::BruceRocks::BruceRocks:

Thanks Steve...I just enjoy doing it. Would have been much better if I didn't screw up my foot big time 3 days before the show. Thank God there were chairs to sit down on...

I had planned on helping during move in...but my help was very minimal there. Ryan and his group and all of the other folks rocked it , though.

I ended up taking mega doses of Ibuprofen so I could at least walk. I have a message into my doc to see if I can be seen soon...LOL

Also, sorry I was such an airhead and didn't introduce my wife to you. "Bruce sucks" :smirk:
