Very Cool Unrestored '67 Camaro SS, #s 350/4-sp, Owned since 1968

I'm liking the look of this one - running on ancient Firestone tires and looking generally unfluffed. Has the look of something you might have seen on a used car lot in 1975.

Hey that's in my city! I have one of those antique tags in the closet that was never put on my Camaro. Alabama has since changed the style of antique tags.

I think it's the original owner - seller's name is on the POP. He repainted the car in the 70's IIRC.

While I like the car a lot, I think the 'get it sold' price is $27.5k ish (just an opinion).

I don't think the data plate was sandblasted - I think that's the white paint that they sprayed on the 67 tags for some reason. I have seen that on a lot of original 67's. Any rhyme or reason why this was done? Visibility for the assembly line workers?

I don't think so.

The line workers could refer to the build sheet, which was certainly more visible (and more comprehensive).

The cowl tag is an early version of what we now call the SPID (Service Parts ID) label.

I believe Phil (70COPO ??? not sure of his name here) has some contacts with Norwood workers. Seems I remember him posting a reason provided by one of those workers.

My 1967 z/28 was a Van Nuys built car and it had white overspray on the tag, but it was from the white stripes I believe. :)
