I’m in discussions with the site developer to enhance the site:
* Ability to have pictures in a thread posted placed in a gallery. This will enable members to view pictures at a quick glance, rather than going through dozens of pages.
*Eliminate the requirement to resize pictures before attaching them. In essence I want the site to be more user friendly.
*Finally we may implement a weekly trending email to keep our members up to date on the most active threads.
As always your paid membership allows us to continue enhancing and maintaining the site and is appreciated & encouraged.
Best regards,
Steve Shauger :beers:

Thank you Steve. I like the possible enhancement of not having to resize photos to post them.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all members on our site and their families.

Wait, you have a Cheddar Monster too, Bruce? :hmmm:
I always wanted to use this saying, or at least as close as I could to it being accurate... (ahem)..."Eh tu, Brucetus?"
Ours is actually two cats in one and as this picture shows,. Come to think about it, this is like one of those crazy pictures you stare at for a while and then you finally see the other thing in the photo!
Merry Christmas to you all and great improvements for the site, Steve! I hope my calendar project next year will help offset the costs and maybe even allow more enhancements that couldn't be done otherwise!
Merry Christmas!!
Cheers:beers:

Steve and SYC family - Merry Xmas and Happy New Year
The site improvements are great - that sizing issue has long been needed - and im sure it holds members back from posting pics that would be helpful - so with that - thank you!
Great site and members....
Happy Holidays!

Site Enhancements
Eliminate requirement to resize pics prior to upload- I uploaded a few 2 meg pics and I no longer required to resize. Please try upload some large pics and let me know if you experience any issue.
Member Gallery- You will have the ability to name/make your own gallery and upload pics. You can make the pics public or private . I assume most, if not all will be public. This is functional but please wait until 2/24/20 to use. He is still finishing.
Thread Gallery- Each thread will have a thread gallery icon. If the originator selects that button, each picture (in the thread)will also be in a album with the thread title. There will be a "Thread Gallery" icon on the top tool bar. In the Thread Gallery will be albums with thread titles and the album will contain every picture in the thread.
I think a thread with hundred of pictures like 69 Yenko Chevelle (Rick Nelson's) this will be valuable. Once in the album click on any picture and it will take you to the post the picture is located with any comment. Trust me you'll like it LOL. This will be available by the weekend.
There are a few more enhancements, but those won't begin until the galleries are up and fully operational .
I will post and update in a few day.
Best,
Steve

Last pic I posted was from a computer it usually doesn't work from so thanks for the updates Steve as this will save a lot of time previously spent transferring pics between systems.
Important w/ any changes are how it effects past postings/existing pictures as this site's a true treasure trove so hopefully any updates only add to the goodness without losses.
Thanks again Steve and looking forward to trying some of the new features!
:beers:

2020 Enhancement Status:
*Ability to have pictures in a thread posted placed in a gallery. This will enable members to view pictures at a quick glance, rather than going through dozens of pages. Completed
Instructions:
To access the thread gallery there is a link after the first post in thread. It reads:
Click here (https://www.yenko.net/forum/misc.php?do=showthreadpics&t=152152#) to view all the pictures posted in this thread...
This will take you a this specific Threads Gallery. The gallery contains every picture posted in the thread.
Click on the picture to enlarge
Under each picture there is a GoTo Post link. By clicking on it, you will be taken to the specific post the picture was in and it may contain a description related to the picture.
The intent of the above feature is to eliminate the need to scroll through 100 pages of posts to find a specific picture or discussion on the item you're interested in. For example Rick Nelson Yenko Chevelle thread is what gave me the idea. For instance if you are interested in the specific frame restoration go to the gallery, find the frame, click on the Go To Post under the picture and you are now in that specific portion of the thread.
Here's the link to the thread... give it a try. Hey it seemed like a good idea :)
https://www.yenko.net/forum/showthread.php?t=152152
*Eliminate the requirement to resize pictures before attaching them. In essence I want the site to be more user friendly. Completed
*Weekly trending email to keep our members up to date on the most active threads. This is the next enhancement and is underway.
As always your paid membership allows us to continue enhancing and maintaining the site and is appreciated & encouraged.
Best regards,

i think i figured out the issue - a while back my new iPhone uses a new pic format called HEIC.....u can turn that off and resort back to the iPhone orig format....
what i think is happening is the pic loading program here does not recognize the HEIC format - which it should as all the new iPhones are using this....anyhow maybe we can look into this?

Just confirmed that only admin have this feature enabled, however it will be enabled for everyone. For now to see how it works use this link to the Yenko Chevelle Thread Gallery: click here (https://www.yenko.net/forum/misc.php?do=showthreadpics&t=152152#) to view all the pictures posted in this thread...
Sorry for the confusion...

I talked with Steve today and thought I would share a neat tip when posting pics, too! A lot of you may not know about this!!
This allows you to add text above and below each picture...Like we used to be able to...:beers:

Just add spaces (by hitting enter) to move the pictures farther apart

ABOVE ARE THE ACTUAL PICS UPLOADED
And this is what it looks like before you post (Or preview)
