I understand these are super valuable cars selling well into the 7-figure range, but I can't quite wrap my head around an $800,000 project car....

Wonder if the neighbors knew this car was stored in that garage for almost 50 years?

Pretty wild! I have worked on several of those when I was a M-B Tech in another life. Super cool car.

Yikes what these are reaching but cool cars for a Roadster and can't help but wonder what the lowly 190SL's are going for now?:hmmm:
Like Bentley, I worked for a Benz Dealer but as SM late 80's and was fortunate to exercise some cool stuff including an original Gullwing and more.
I've never seen it but Canadian PM Pierre Trudeau had a '57 300SL as pic below w/ sons Justin and Sacha. Justin's our current PM also has the SL now but doubtful he'd know how to operate it properly if his political prowess is any indicator, he's so not his father.:frown:
:beers:

Early 190SLs in nice condition bring $150k to $250k.

1973; I passed on a complete 1961 190SL that included a second parts car for $1200. Shrewd.
