I'm looking to restore my ignition coil bracket
and hardware. Would anyone know what is the
correct factory plating on it and the hardware?
I've been told by some it maybe a dull zinc
plating or possibly a galvanized finish on the
bracket--any experts out there? Also need proper
finish on the mounting bolts. This is what I have to
start with (see photo). Thanks in advance---

IMO, they were made from galvanized sheet stock like the brake backing plates. It is acceptable, but not "correct" ? to plate in clear cad or zinc.

Thanks for your comments guys--- that coil
bracket above looks like hot dipped galvanized.

Does anyone on sYc know of a shop that does
this correct finish? Thanks for your help.

"bracket above looks like hot dipped galvanized."

I agree - that is hot dipped zinc.
