Friend of a friend chased this car forever, finally go it, and man was it worth it. 68 SS/RS L78, orig everything except for headers, wires, tires and filters. Orig (hammered) paint, drivetrain never out of car (runs real wheel), bought from orig owner who kept every piece of paper since new. LOADED with options, tilt wheel, quad stereo thingy, real time piece.

Interesting...double alternator belts? Due to radio-multiplex option?
Looks to be loaded with options.

Another one with double belts on the alternator. I bet the car was built in LA? That’s the fourth totally original L78 I have seen with double belts . Would like to see the fan and clutch. I can bet it has the Eaton fan clutch. The double belts have nothing to do with the smog .

The double belts are crazy looking. Have photos of the other three original cars if anyone would like to see them.

The alternator part number on a 67 would be the 693 . The 68 would be the hard to find 814 .

Was there a heavy duty alternator option? That might explain the dual belts.
Very nice,What's going on with the headliner?

No heavy duty alternator. 693 is the base 37 amp

Appears to be fuel line, probably re-routed and 'insulated' due to heat from headers.

Fuel lines are common to be moved when headers are installed
