How about a Vintage Musclecar Toys Thread.
I found this the other day while going through my old stuff at my Mother's house. This is from the early 70s, made by Hasbro called Stick Shifters. It actually still works with 4 D cell batteries. The shifter says Hurst on it..

Couple old plastic cars, 69 Chevelle and 67 Camaro. Not sure on the vintage. Not sure if these were dealer giveaway items or not.

I had one of those stick shifters when I was a kid. I also had a drag race slot car track that had shifters for each lane. You had to shift gears at the right time to keep the car going down the track.

I had those too. There were lots of cool car toys back then. I had a '68 Dodge Charger that had light sensors on the top and you could make the car turn by shining a flashlight on those sensors.

I had one of those also. You see them from time to time on Ebay. Not cheap.

I had a Hot Wheels town that folded up like a suit case. My parents may have pictures of all of this stuff. I had lots of Aurora AFX slot car tracks. I still have most of my cars. My dad has an Aurora '55 Chevy that has never been out of the box.

I have the same Hasbro shifter but with a 70 mustang funny car and just a black shift ball.
Easier and cheaper to restore than our cars. Lol

I have an AFX HO track, Hot Wheels set-up and a thing Switch-N-Go made by Mattel. All but the Switch-N-Go are still around. I'll have to dig 'em out of the attic.

I turned mine over to my now 19 yo when he was ready and my now 8 yo has them. Three dual sided car cases/carriers worth. I crack up every time I see them play with them. It makes me smile when I remember having fun with them as a kid too. Still going strong. I'm sure more than a few of them are worth a few bucks.
They also repop the classics. All my hot wheels are gone, but I found these through the years being re popped. You gotta be careful you don’t buy fakes on hot wheels too. Lmao, splitting image, silhouette and Chaparral.
These were my fav’s, the Deora was like an El Camino. I haven’t been able to find that. It had 2 surf board on the back.
The Mach 1 sizzlers was the shit, I had one.

Yeah, I had a few of those too. I always ended up stripping all of the teeth off of the rip cord.

I have a bunch of 70-73 Camaro toys, old and new. These tin cars are my favorite http://www.dinograz.com/tintoys/tintoys.html
Go figure, same toys in the toybox growing up. Was a little thread on CRG a year or so ago talking about building models, as a kid. Somehow I was surprised, "you guys were into building models also?"
Nothing ever changed, lol, toys are a bit more expensive, and the toyboxes bigger.
I had a Cox Shrike, not as fast as this but it hauled.

I still have about 200 model cars in the attic along with my old Cox dune buggy, 2 Sizzlers race tracks, a Lionel train set, Aurora AFX slot cars and some other stuff up there that I need to go through. I think I might still have some of my Evil Knievel stuff up there.
