View Full Version : 1966 Malibu Convertible, #s 327/4-sp/Bench, CA Black Plates

Here's a fairly rare 275hp 327 '66 with an original 4-speed and California black plates. I don't see many Malibus with the bench seat stick combo - really like this one and would love to get some more period correct wheels on it.

The seller thinks the trans is a Muncie, but I would have guessed Saginaw (especially considering the 10-bolt rear). Anyone know what this would have come with?

275hp 327 would be a Saginaw. My 67 has the Saginaw, but also a 12 bolt posi.

Thanks - interesting that your car received the 12-bolt. I remember a yellow unrestored '66 327/4-speed bench seat Malibu that would park near my college dorm, and it did have a 12-bolt (although I never crawled under it to check for a Muncie).

This car has been relisted in the link below - still a neat and relatively scarce ride with these drivetrain options.
