No docs to prove the SS lineage conclusively, but the '0712FL' assembly stamp seems to line up well with the 4th week of July trim tag. Trans casting appears to read 9/61 so I assume that's not original.
Super cool car and looks to have been mostly untouched underneath. Metallic brakes, too.

The car is a real SS, but with the lowest engine offered with the SS. If you're ok with a combination of unrestored & restored, this is a great car.

So this car ended bids at $25k without meeting the reserve - would have expected stronger bidding.
For a second I thought the car in the link below was the same one, but it's not - although they are similar (this one isn't a Super Sport):

Kept it a few years and traded it in on a new 67 GTO.
