Interesting situation - the shop listing this '65 is also the builder who's selling the car on behalf of their client. They claim it's a $200k build and are asking $75k obo for essentially a new vehicle (it was driven 1,950 miles). I have to wonder how the client felt when the shop evidently threw the $75k price out there after he dumped a couple hundred grand into this....

Of course, this assumes the shop is telling the truth about the $200k in receipts! To be honest, even at retail shop rates I'm struggling to see that number even though there's clearly a number of expensive parts used.

Looks like a fun car but even at $75k (never mind COVID19) I think it's priced out of the market.

Yuck.

That is going to be one massive haircut. Run it through Mecum and be happy when you get 35k.

Their only hope is a 200k insurance policy and a lightning strike.

Shop labor rates on complete car builds like this can easily go into the stratosphere when the car owner keeps changing his mind about the direction of the car mid-build and does not stick to the original plan.

---- I understand loving black, but can't figure out why one would want an all black convertible. Just getting in on a hot day with the top up or down can be painful. Not my idea of fun,,,LOL!......Bill S

Could be one of the more unimaginative interiors that I have seen.:smirk:
