I purchased this gorgeous Vette from a gent I worked with for 20 years who is now retired. Single all his life he treated this like his baby, parked in the early 80's and not driven for 15 years. He purchased the car in August 1975 and owned until I purchased last year. The Vette now has 26,000 original miles. The prior owner decided to paint the car about 12 years ago, he could not stand the small lacquer cracks. I replaced the front urethane bumper with GM NOS and had painted/installed by a professional Corvette shop locally. I had the car flight judged at the 2019 Lone Star Regionals in Frisco, TX, great organization. I had the car completely tuned, brakes, exhaust, wiper washer pump, fuel system all serviced with correct parts and to NCRS standards at the cost of over 6k. Many of the small items deducted when flight judged have been fixed. This was all done by the same professional Corvette shop that sponsors the NCRS Lone Star Club. This Vette is ready to tour the USA with no issues. I installed repro Goodyear Steelgard GR70-15 tires, the spare is still original. I have a binder with paperwork to include the build sheet we found when pulling the tank. Car delivered to Bud Donahue Chevrolet, Milwaukee, WI. Production date was 10/18/1972. This is an outstanding car with gorgeous paint. Options include T Tops, Power Windows, Power Steer, Power Brakes, Leather Trim, Defogger which I understand is somewhat rare, AC that blows cold, Gauges that all work to include the clock, Tilt, AM/FM Stereo. T Top cover, shims and jack is all included. The prior owner did do the L82 upgrades such as valve covers and exhaust. Standard 350 with Turbo 400 Automatic. SOLD

Wow -- reminds me of the "ground power yellow" 73' I had in Illinois in the late 70s ... loved it ...

I remember your car well from the Frisco Regional last year. Thank you for bringing it for judging.
This was the first year I really remember driving to the dealerships to see the new Corvettes. Your car was delivered 90 miles up the road from me.

That Black leather interior is Awsome. My brother had the same car in 78 but it was a real L82. Same color but saddle leather. Good luck with the sale.

love the look !! i had a 74 red /black - i know lots of people hate the split bumper in the back but it was my first vet and i sold it and bought it back 3 times before i finally let it go for good....sold it at the Carlisle Swap Meet @1990. Now im constantly looking for another 74 coupe, L82 Auto car, red /black etc......

Your car has a really nice stance, profile and overall presentation.....GLWS!

Question ref the L82 upgrades - you said the valve covers etc....what was added for the exhaust?

ryanbowtie

Thanks for all the great comments, this is really a nice low mileage Vette. The exhaust was upgraded to 2 1/2 inch from my understanding, I just had new mufflers installed. I learned they painted the exhaust black, I am not a Vette expert by any authority.

Very nice looking Corvette! Looks just like it did in '75! Whoever purchases it will appreciate the tilt wheel especially if you're six foot plus! Nice originality and docs. GLWS!!

That round thing on the console is for the defroster I believe.

Yes, they used a 1969 style radio knob for the rear window defroster.

The round chrome knob is the defogger that you see on the side of console. The Vette does have a factory alarm system as well.

I installed the Original Wheels, Trim Rings and Center Caps that the car came with. Prior owner had all this boxed up, he had removed the original wheels around 1980. I took a picture to show the clips on the trim rings.

This was the first year for factory installed radial tires, also. We had two new 1973 Corvettes in our neighborhood and I remember them well. I really liked them and have since owned a '73.

You're killing me, what a beautiful car. I may be in the minority, but I like the rally wheels and white wall tires. I was a senior in high school when this car was new, I liked them then and I like them now.

Thanks Tim, I appreciate your feedback. I sure enjoyed having the car judged, most all the items have been fixed or changed from the scoring sheets. No smog and undercoat are the remaining issues.

Thanks Mark, I am sure your son will find a car having 2 years to look.

Ahhh...so that explains why you ignored my request for undercarriage pics and the judging sheets (and for the record, that is a pretty rude move in a small community like this). I thought that you had something to hide :) but it was simply that you didn’t read my post thoroughly. I said, he was thinking about buying a C3 in 2 years when he graduates...and that maybe I should buy the car now and hold it for him. That is exactly what we are going to do. We are going 50/50 on a car NOW, not in 2 years (he works 20 hours per week while attending University and has a full-time accounting internship this Summer). I am also going to buy another LT-1 or LS5 so we can enjoy the cars together.

Anyway, best of luck with the sale. It looks like a really nice car from the info that you have shared so far.

Sorry, for the misunderstanding. I would be happy to share anything you want, text me my phone contact is posted. Scoring sheets consists of a number of pages, not interested in downloading all these pictures to this site. Tim, who is a member of this site and is active in the Texas NCRS chapter has seen this car and has made comments. I have nothing to hide, just call if you want additional information.
