Not sure how courteous drivers are in Quebec, but I can think of many places in the US where if that had happened, the cars behind the plane would have been laying on the horn for him to hurry up and get out of their way.

Boy, he put it down nicely! He had to put it down in between cars and highway signs! Wow!!
On a lighter note, I don't think Super Dave would've had to land at all. At the pace he works, he would've climbed out the window and fixed it before he ever had to think about landing!

Without knowing the surrounding area, (obstructions, wires, poles, population, etc), we do not know the options he faced or the reason for the forced landing....and therefore, we cannot 2nd guess the pilot's decision. As Dave stated, the pilot did an excellent job.

I’ve spent a lot of time flying those bug whackers - never considered my life more important then a bunch of folks on the ground. JMHO

The point is that the video does not provide enough info to determine if the PIC made a good or bad choice. To claim the PIC "coulda killed a bunch of people" assumes the PIC made a poor choice and without understanding all relevant details, neither of us are qualified to pass judgement.
