My good buddy just bought this beast. 40k original miles, 100% numbers matching, Super Cobra Jet ram air. Talk about a rare color combo too. meadowlark yellow with white interior.
Perfection. Originally bought from Tasca Ford too

So being a SCJ would that have the solid lifter engine?

So being a SCJ would that have the solid lifter engine?

The 428 SCJ's had hydraulic cams

nope

different crank
lemans rods
external dampening
engine oil cooler
only 3.91 or 4.30 diff

a helluva option for very little

arguably the best value and most misunderstood option for any muscle car

putting one together today and finding all the bits is tough...deep groove pulleys, horn mounts, etc

You are right. This one has all the original pieces including the speedo adapter for the 3.91's

I'm not really a Mustang guy, but I like that, NICE.

Beautiful car and I especially like that no one installed that ugly rear wing on it; lines look so much cleaner without that.

One of the nicer '69 Mach 1's I've seen in a while. Tasca provenance, SCJ and a killer color combo. Had to have been deadly consistent with the C6 instead of the Toploader back in the day.

I had one I sold a few years back. R code SCJ, in Gulf Stream Aqua, a survivor car with 60k miles on it. Loved it, great driving car. Mine was also a C6 3.91 car, AM FM, fold down rear seat, PS PDB.

I like the colors on this one, very nice!!

I think the SCJ w/auto was a NHRA Class record holder for while back in it's day. It was/is a great, consistent drag racer

Yes, they were, till NHRA allowed the 340 sixpak T/A Challenger into their class.

That car is beautiful!

Awesome...back in the day I had one of those. Mine was a triple red, 4 speed shaker car and I've been trying to find it for years. The '69's are my favourite year for Mach 1's.

Nice car!

I have a couple of questions though, and not disparaging the Marti Report at all, but do I see some typos there? "Tasco" Ford? and it was released exactly a year before it was actually built? I'm sure they're just (single-digit) typos, and nothing's wrong at all. Just curious.

Cheers all, be well.

Anthony....sharp eye on the dates! Yes, there's some issues with the Marti. Frank, your friend should ask for a new copy with the corrections.

Also, an intrepid Ford person will be able to piece together the VIN so white-outing some details is useless.
