Nice looking car in one of the best 1970 colors. The seller says the block was decked and thus can't verify the stamp to be original - IMO it's tough to make much of a call judging by the pics alone, but at least you have the build sheet verification. This is another instance where hiring a good photographer would have made a world of difference in this auction...the pics suck.
Makes me wonder whatever happened to that original paint orange '70 L78 Camaro that popped up on Ebay a year or two ago. Did any of you guys end up with that car?

Very rare car with RS option, great colors plus the buildsheet is huge bonus. Missing the $3K dual snorkel air cleaner. These cars continue to be under valued given the rarity. Will be interesting to see how it does.

How do you know it's a legit RS car?

It does not appear to be a real RS car. Missing Z22 option on the list, no bright trim around the top of hood and doors and no RS horn shroud. Also what the ZL3 SS 396 conversion noted on the option list?

Is there a build sheet with this car? I didn't see it mentioned. This car has been around and moved around a lot in the past several years and was discussed at length on the NastyZ site when it first came up for sale (as I recall) in the Philly area. Lots of unanswered questions. Beautiful car though...no doubt about that but any potential buyers should do their due diligence...as with any purchase.
Just saw the build sheet was noted in the title...but not mentioned or shown in the eBay auction...would be nice to see it.

The 70 L78's do not have anything close to the following of the 70 Z28's. The Orange one you mentioned is probably still in the same condition it was bought (no knowledge, just a guess) because the cost to restore will not be justified in value once completed.

This car has been for sale a loooooonnnggg time by a number of different people; or maybe same person under different business names. eBay at least twice. The buildsheet did not actually show L78 (pieces missing) so they stopped showing it in the ads, (maybe they got a new one done?) and being an LA car there is no 'L78' stamping on the trim tag.
Buyer beware on this one.

Car has been discussed on here a couple times too. The JM inspection is a new wrinkle though. Sheet:
