Air cleaner ID

Can you identify an air cleaner by the filter number on the sticker on the bottom of the lid or are there too many that take the same part number filter? The flag and cu in designation is gone off of the chrome lid. Looks like a A212C filter..tks

That filter was used across the GM line for several years, so a picture of the air cleaner would help.

Some one painted the underside black so it’s hard to read the writing on it. I am going to try to remove the old paint to see it it can be readable. Tks.
