Thanks to Hugger SS and Mr. Chevy I was able to contact a gentleman who was a mechanic at the dealership in 1969. He had some interesting stories about the Camaros. He said Ed tried to order 2 or 3 but was told he had to buy 10 cars, he did. The cars all came in at once on 2 transporters and he said they were all sold within a couple of weeks. He remembered taking the cars to an area behind the dealership and "trying" and prepping them. Said today people have nothing on them as they were drifting back then. He said all cars were ordered with the same options and all were 4spd vinyl roof cars. The registry shows 4 of these cars including a blue one which he said was the last car to sell. They thought it would be first because that color was so popular at the time. Also that car was stolen from the lot. He also said there was a yellow car still around Avon/Avon Lake area and it had it's vinyl top removed. The owner supposedly knows the fates of 9 of the cars. My son saw a yellow car at a Quaker State cruise in and sent me pictures but didn't get any info. Any of you Cleveland guys know this car/owner? There are 4 Stinn cars listed in the Registry and this yellow car isn't.

Greg, I'm not sure about the yellow car. I will most likely see Ken this weekend and I will ask him about the car.

If the Quaker Steak and Lube was at Rt. 254 in Sheffield Lake, OH, it was probably a Prout Chevrolet COPO.

Greg, I saw Ken over the weekend. He said the yellow car was NOT a Stinn sold car.

Found the pictures my son sent from the cruise in and I’m sure it was the Prout car.
