Today marks the 76th anniversary of the D-Day landings in Normandy. Thousands of young sailors, soldiers and pilots gave their all that day to help fight the tyranny of Nazi Germany. There is a lot going on in our country right now...but, please take a moment to remember these heroes who served the cause of freedom so many years ago.
Lest we forget :flag::flag::flag:

True heroes....every one of them on those beaches! Not many left today. Take pride in being an American....no matter WHERE you’re from!:flag::flag::flag:
Cheers, Proost, Skal, Salud, however you want to say it, raise it to these men! :beers:

Well said Dave. While we have people in our streets now burning the American Flag or displaying it upside down. Just sickens and infuriates me to the core. My good friend is a Vietnam Veteran and fought during the Tet Offensive.

If you haven't visited the beaches of Normandy, I'd highly recommend doing so. They still honor the American soldiers with daily tributes.

My 3 uncles were combat engineers and landed on Juno Beach.All 3 made it home.In 2010 I had the honour of visiting Normandy.Took a tour of the beaches and cemeteries....very sad.They gave the ultimate sacrifice.

Sacrifices greatly appreciated by some, however some will not appreciate their sacrifices until their freedom is taken away. Very little on the news, a times when America was united, to today, sad. Thank you to all who have served, Semper Fi.
