Karen's Berger has developed an issue with the pass. side electric window...goes up very slow and sometimes just stops. I would assume the motor is on the way out, but before a tear down, I thought I would check with the gurus.
Any ideas are appreciated.

Is the failure accompanied by any other noises? If so where do they originate?

I have a low mile 2002 Trans Am and both of its window motors have been replaced. Not uncommon

Wilma,
As others have said, it is a common failure.
There's a couple threads and resources on the topic on LS1Tech:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/general-maintenance-repairs/765436-how-replace-your-power-window-motor.html
Another good resource here:

Someone used to sell replacement motors with lifetime warranty, but I'm failing to remember who.

I think it makes sense to change the motor and regulator as a unit..
Have any of you done it that way?

I have located an original NOS GM assembly...motor/regulator. It is a discontinued part but some dealers still have them in inventory. Replacing the whole unit seems like the best choice...and I like the idea of using original parts.
If anyone needs help with this info, let me know.
