I'm going through a bunch of parts to clean up and let go so I may be asking for your help these next few days to understand what I really have.
Thanks for your knowledge!
What is the meaning of the "X" in front of the part number?
And is this for a 1969 Camaro L34, 4 Speed right?
Thanks!

I'm not buying the inspection story. That X was in the rollstamp. May have just been a spacer die to fill in the holder for a very limited time window.

Might have been part of a 'first piece' inspection process after a set up change over. Run off 5-10 units; wait for 100% inspection. Once approved, the X comes off.

That's a possibility.
But we had a distributor line in the plant I worked in. Setup, confirm settings, run. No special markings for any units that I can recall.
