With the change to Team Camaro (camaros.net) new look it appears that it is not going very well. The number of post seems to have dropped off quite a bit. I myself don't care for the new look and navigation changes. What are your impressions on their new look? Dave (Fred Mertz)

Is it another forum Vertical Scope purchased and ruined? They have laid waste to automotive forums across the web.

I don’t like it, too many ads and other stuff getting in the way. But I’m not a paid member there, experience may be better for those that are.

I don't like it. I can't even find my PMs. They haven't changed Team Chevelle yet, but it's probably coming.

Dave, sorry you are are not feeling the new site (not that I or any of the other members could say anything to stop it).
Yes, change is difficult, but as a mod there I can appreciate the new security tools to keep out the spammers (they never stop trying!)
Yes, things have moved around a bit and the paid users vs free have different experiences.
But any challenges, please speak up and we will get someone looking at them. Some issues are tougher than others to fix, so we must be patient.
Private messages are located inside your avatar upper right on the forum home page.
Many functions were moved to drop down menus instead of links, so just a little more hunting is needed to find everything.
And yes, Team Camaro forum is managed by Vertical Scope and Team Chevelles is on their list too.

Nobody logs into their computer to wait for non-stop re-loads of advertising.
Tried looking at racing junk lately ?
Steves Nova Site also.... dead.
Man I hope this Forum doesn't meet that fate.

Agreed, Racing Junk is much more of a pain to navigate than it used to be. Not a fan.
I go there less and less. I am a paid lifetime member.
Now when I click on "new" I not only get the new car related posts, but also get the "off topic" stuff, which is just silly; mostly ridiculous bickering between left and right. No centrist positions at all. I didn't even know that sub forum was there until a few weeks ago. It used to not even show unless you signed up to be on it.

That's too bad. VS ran pirate4x4 into the ground.

Looks like they also bought my favorite 6.5 diesel site "Diesel Place," as well. It's now un-usable for anything anymore. Viewership and participation has plummeted as a result.

I used to be a regular there. Now I scroll through in about 30 seconds and rarely post on anything.

I haven't been to TEAM CAMARO in years... Yenko and the CRG are the best places for information regarding correctness.

One of the reasons I bought this site, was to ensure it remained a members friendly site with solid content, serious discussions and a little something for all musclecar owners. There are still improvements in the que ( my programmer needs constant pressure to complete tasks!!!). Anyway, I don't like sites designed to be advertiser free- for -alls, with pop up and distractions.
I screen the advertisers, and they are chosen because they benefit our members and musclecar community. I encourage members that are not yet paid members to consider so we can maintain and improve the site. A big THANK YOU to the Paid Members contributions!!!!! 3gears.gif:beers:
Note: my comments were not directed at any specific site, such as the one that requested feedback. I don't frequent that site often and haven't since it changed..
And don't think for a minute we don't notice that,or appreciate you for all that Steve. :)

I don't see a problem with the new TC site changes. I know I have my pop ups blocked well, so that might help. I go over there because there are usually guys that need some help. I do what I can when I can as far as that goes. No question that quality content took a nose dive over the last couple of years.
I agree, Steve. This is my favorite hangout.

For me it has been about 5 years, very painful so I just gave up, here and the CRG seems to work for me.

I used to go to Team Camaro daily but after all the changes it became a less than enjoyable experience so I just stopped.
