I believe this is the same car that's been for sale on kijiji for seemingly forever. Pretty rare combo with the LS3/4-speed. Weird that the L78 block that's included has already been stamped with this car's partial VIN. Why would someone do that when there's VVS paperwork clearly stating this car to be a factory 330hp Malibu?

Whoever spec'd that out originally went to great pains to get an SS396 without getting the appearance of an SS396.....or perhaps the insurance surcharge of an SS396 :naughty:

So according to the GM of Canada docs, the born with block should be stamped TO821CKR, right?
And the block with the VIN included with the car says TO314CKO? And it has a VIN stamp of 101547160.
Does that even look like a legit factory VIN stamp? (I don't know anything about '70 Chevelles)
???
P.S. Sold new in Sherburne NY, a tiny, one-horse town near where I went to college.

It reportedly sold on ebay in July 2016 for $11,700 W/o VVS docs.

Looks like someone back then found a very closely dated 1970 (OTC or L78 Camaro-Nova) 4 bolt main L-78 CKO block, then unevenly re-stamped this LS-3 Malibus VIN into it.
Needless to say,Oshawa never assembled any 1970 L-78 vehicles, plus the Oshawa cowl tag doesn't even call out the RPO Z-25 Super Sport option.
But credit to the seller for not trying to say it's a Super Sport or an L-78,just that it's block is a generic original CKO 375HP block, and no reserve either.

Ha! I guess I posted about this car back then, too. I'm becoming a historical archive of sorts...yikes.
