Hello Gents, long time since I've been around, life has been busy. Over the 4th weekend, I was up in the hills of PA visiting family and happened across what I'm pretty sure is Blevins '73 super stock Vega. I've done a bunch of "googling" to no avail. Where might I find what the VIN should be? It has the SRD 5-link and tubular frame so that fits. Yes, I am working on pics and the gent does want to sell although, he's aware of what Grump's sister vega sold for and he's "aiming high."
Any help with identifying info would be great, or a pointer on where to search.
Much appreciated, Todd

Blevins’ Pro Stock Vega was a cover car & featured In the November 1973 issue of Super Stock & Drag Illustrated. The photos in that feature would be instrumental in a positive identification.

First note, I'm no expert. That said, I saw the car many times as a kid, and this one has most of the features I recall. After I deduced that, the owner mentioned it too, stating that it is in fact his car. What I'm looking for is any numbers (VIN, etc.) that could tell me for sure. RobR gave me some great info on somebody that can positively identify it so I'm starting there. I am disappointed that is now has a 383 in it, but I wouldn't expect it to still have the 351 from back then.
Appreciate all the help gents!

Sometimes the chassis builder will put a number on it....Joe

Good point, there are other SRD Vegas built around the same time as Blevins car that were bodies in white.
Here is a picture of a trim tag from another SRD Vega if you note it says
BODY IN WHITE
TACK WELD ONLY
I know Don Hardy was not keeping track of their chassis numbers and who they built each one for back then, as I tried the same thing you are doing on another Vega, but as Joe noted, maybe SRD kept a chassis book.

Here’s a pic he just gave me, but hopefully I’ll get to go through it personally later today.
That would be so cool back in period livery and running in the Nostalgia Pro Stock group.
