What is the best source for the best & most original looking decal? My original decal appeared to have a bit more orange in the Chevy emblem than what I see in repros today.

Thanks!

Cranes Corvette was selling NOS Tonawanda stickers on eBay recently. Otherwise, Paragon has a really nice reproduction.

----There are absolutely perfect repros out there. I have a couple of NOS unused T-decals with the paper overlay and the tab still there and I bought several repros and can't remember here I got them, but they are right on the money! I'll add on to this if and when I remember.....Bill S

----I remembered!!!!! I got the perfect ones from Ron Norman @McHenry Classic Parts. Haven't talked to Ron probably in a year now so hope he is well and has the same Phone# 815-648-1700. Ron is a great guy and very knowledgeable......Bill S

Thanks guys,

I noticed when I visited David Crane's website recently that the decal he has looks similar to many others I have seen. The detail of the lettering is very crisp (probably better than what the original ones had) but the color was still more of a dark red rather than orange for the Chevy emblem.

Ground up (SS396.com) has one that I almost bought along with a nice set of repro valve covers with the spark plug wire stem in the proper position for a '67 L78. But, I didn't think they looked very crisp...not a real good look, but the Chevy emblem "is" more orange just like my original decal! Problem is I should have added that $4.99 decal to my valve cover order because it's almost $12 to ship it by itself! YIKES! Crazy huh?

So, I'm looking elsewhere and for opinions. I'd be sick if I bought the Groundup decal and it wasn't good quality...unless I add it to another order where shipping doesn't kill the sale!

Any photos of examples would be appreciated too.

I will try to post a photo of my '67 Chevelle's L78 engine with decal visible below:

Great photo of the engine compartment. When was that photo taken? Do you have any more photos of the car? Also what assembly plant? Thanks!

You can email the photos to me if that is easier.

That photo was probably taken about 1968. I had the Mickey Thompson Super Scavenger headers on it then...you can see them in the pic. I put the wingnuts on the valve covers since I broke a few valve springs, and I always carried a spring kit with me! LOL! 4.10:1 posi with M20 Muncie. It was a real beast for sure! It's like that engine could take anything I threw at it, although I generally was easy on it most of the time, Nothing like the sound of an L78 with M/T headers!...450+ HP no doubt whatsoever!

I hope to either find it (been looking for 13 years), or replicate it someday exactly like I ordered it in Deepwater Blue Metallic with black interior/bench seat. My current plan is building an L78 engine as close to L78 spec as possible with original EG block. It was a Kansas City build...born on June 9th, 1967.

I ran several wheel & tire combos, but here's one of my favorites:
