Anybody have any experience selling through Hemmings website? Looking for pros and cons at maybe going that route. Thanks

Selling a car? I advertised my Chevelle there and won't use Hemings again. My ad was negatively changed (they reserve that right) and once the magazine/book is published, your ad cannot be changed. Never bothered to attempt changes on my online ad, hopefully they eased self service online changes.
Won't get into the respondents of my Hemings ad. Ultimately, the car sold off another venue.

Thanks Rick. I appreciate the input. Yeah, I'm selling a car. Far from a muscle car of any type. It was my daily driver for many years ('88-2019) and I just don't really drive it anymore. It needs some work and my attention is focused on my other cars. I've advertised locally but no serious buyers. It's a 1987 1300 Honda Civic hatchback w/just over 290,000 miles. You used to see tons of them on the road. Now not so much. I'd rather see someone use it or restore it instead of it being turned into soup cans.

----I was just talking about this with a friend (former Chevy dealer). He put a very nice two owner 66 Porsche on BAT and was disappointed with the outcome (lack of interest). He then went on the Hemmings website and had over ten responses within a day and sold the car for his asking price.....Bill S

Thanks Bill. Well, I guess it's hit and miss, maybe depending on the car. I don't have a lot to lose, so maybe I'll do some reading on their website and throw this little car on there.
