A friend of mine just bought a 64 corvette coupe. White with blue interior, auto, power windows, power steering, power brakes and air conditioning. Sent away for the NCRS report and it shows Dealer code; 0, Zone; 21. Dealer name is listed as GM Internal Order. Does anyone know the location of Dealer 0, Zone 21? Did GM keep any records of internal order cars? Wondering if it may have belonged to someone significant! Thanks!

That NCRS report is similar to what I received for my 1967 Camaro RS/SS. Mine lists the original delivery dealer as dealer code 0 in zone 28. The name and address for the dealer is: Cleveland Zone Office, Cleveland, Ohio. I've had others tell me that most likely my car was ordered by or for an executive that worked at the Cleveland Zone Office, or was made by GM for a prize give-a-way, parade, or car show, etc. in the Cleveland area. Is the MI on yours possibly designating Michigan?

Someone from NCRS did say that it was a Michigan Zone Office.

I also have Dealer Code 0 Camaro (1968) with a Zone Code 20 (I think) which was GM Executive Offices and Engineering in Los Angeles. More specifically the, then brand new Century City facility.
Do you have your POP, mines interesting. Looks as though a buyer didn't didn't get a warranty eith mine or it was out of warranty when first sold to the public. Which is possible since the repair record in the warranty book mentions constant valve and clutch adjustments before replacing pieces.

Like to know more about these "Black Hat: cars. Anybody ?

Unfortunately I don't have the POP and know next to nothing about my car's history prior to the owner I bought it from, who did the frame off restoration. I do know a previous owner did live in Reading, PA.

My 67 vert was a zone car.

It would be interesting to find out the different reason(s) for these NCRS reports to show dealer code 0 and shipping to a zone office.

'

What would be indicated for regular Zone stock vehicles as not all in the pipeline were necessarily dealer orders for their own stock or specific customer orders?:hmmm:
:beers:
