Saw this on BaT. Originally Cranberry red, now black, 402/4 speed, sold new in Canada and has VVS docs pictured.

**Disclaimer** I'm certainly no expert but the documentation may be fake. I have 2 and the first line on both is the date George issued the documentation and the doc on this car does NOT have a date line above the name. The first one I have is from 2003 and doesn't have the certification stamp. The second is from 2016 and has the perforated stamp, which George had to go to several years ago BECAUSE his pages were being reproduced and faked. I don't see the certification stamp on this doc. If they are claiming this doc is recent, which by the description, they seem to be to me, it's fake.
If it's older than 2003, MAYBE George wasn't putting the issue date on them then, I don't know how he had them before 2003. This cars doc is the same as my early one, with the exception of the date.
Bill did note a partial trim tag was pictured and I see it does have the Z25 option stamped in what appears to be the original tag, so this may not be a fake doc, just different from what I have.
Still, I encourage ANYONE interested in this, or ANY Oshawa built car to verify it's pedigree with George before considering a purchase. He has always been willing to just verbally verify a vin and whether it is a real SS or not. Beyond that, get your check book out for the actual docs.

I just looked at more of the pictures and there are a couple of the TT....which seems to be missing the lower portion :dunno: It's an Oshawa built car so probably a good idea to order your own VVS docs, as Too Many Projects has suggested above.

I, somehow, missed the TT pic and the bottom section is broken off, but the Z25 is there, in the center of the bottom row.

So you have 2 documented cars from GM of Canada and you think you should comment on the authenticity of this one because yours is different.
George has been doing this for over 25 years, think of the number of cars he has checked. He was checking on "rare" cars before people realized what they were...
You need more information, other than it not being dated, to call this a problem...

He's not talking about George's bonafides, he's suggesting that a buyer should verify that its actually George's work. Faking paperwork is easier than it has ever been, and its really important to verify if there's any doubt. Better to verify before than litigate after.

Pretty quick on the trigger, for a document that may be 20+ years old. The missing piece is the invoice that HAS the date that the search was done.....
They, Vehicle history search, didn't really change the paperwork until they were NOT working for GM

And how do you know the document is 20+ yrs old ????
By the statement in the ad, it seems to refer that the document is very recent.
"The selling dealer reportedly acquired the car in 2020 from a long-term owner, and an oil change and tune-up is said to have been performed in March 2020. This Chevelle is now offered with build documentation and an Ontario, Canada registration card."
Pretty quick to pull the trigger on me for warning people that there seems to be a discrepancy in the ad about the document date and it's appearance. That doc is the old style that George discontinued several years ago because people were making copies and entering false data. The car is a real Z25, but are all the options original to it's build, or was it "enhanced".
This your car ??? Where is the invoice with the date ??? If you have proof the doc is authentic and old enough to not have a date, put it on the table and I"ll have Steve remove my warning...no problem.
Here is the new document form. This one is from 2016 with much more printing and an embossing stamp with George's initials that he went to, to prevent further fraud of his previous document. If the one for the car in question is from 2020.....well I'll let the evidence speak for itself.

Check YOUR info, you shoot yourself in the foot a few times.....
Nowhere in the ad does it say the document is recent,( not the same poster as customer)
You show a document from the service, from 2016. I would not call that recent... But the one shown in the ad is missing the "stamp, GST, HST etc"....
I said it "may" be 20 years old, it MAY be more/less than 20 years old, BUT it sure isn't recent in my books at a year old...
Ontario registration card ( ownership it's called in Ontario).... It has Ontario plates on it and was eligible to drive on the road in 2018.
So, because yours is recent(2016) with the above noted changes that makes this one questionable??
IT IS NOT MY CAR!!!

Is anyone close to Oshawa where the car is located?
