Cool car with one of the best color combinations in '65. Just love those bright blue interiors....

Paint condition is not the greatest, but looks like it would be a very nice driver.

----This 65 is a gem! The one thing I should mention is that in 1965 both M20 and M21 transmissions were called M20's. The trans choice was made by the factory depending on the gear which in this case is a 4.11 so trans is, in reality, an M21. Love the patina and would do almost nothing but enjoy it and mess with small stuff a bit. The original leather seats are still totally useable as is and an enterprising guy might be able to clean and dye the carpets, but even that isn't a necessity. A couple of brothers from N.J. should campaign this Corvette in original classes.....Bill S

I drove a 65 365 Hp about 40 years ago and what a screamer it was. It was the closest thing to my 70 Lt-1 Convertable. Would rev and pull like a big block. I like this one a lot too.

Sharp! Curious that the odometer shows 45149 miles yet the service sticker on the door (appears to be a vintage Marathon Service station sticker) reads the same mileage. The date is tuff to read but IMO is either “5/3/06” or 5/3/66”. I don’t think this sticker would have been used in 2006.

My hometown, Springfield Illinois, which is just south of Bloomington.

I spent many years driving up to the Bloomington Corvette Coral in my various Corvettes back in the mid 70’s. Great time!

This ‘65 Corvette on auction is Really cool!

Love the factory paint, interior and engine bay.

The 365 mechanical lifter vettes are wicked.

I would lightly dye the carpet to blend better with the rest of the interior.

Possibly throw Goldline tires on it and enjoy as is.

Not unusual for C2 odometers to quit working, while the speedo continues to work.

I purchased a 365HP 327 out of wrecked Corvette and stuck it in my 1st 1969 Camaro. I swear it could bury my Sun Super tach. I never had another SBC that could rev like that.

My experience with most C2 Corvettes in the mid 70s was that the odometer was broken between 39,000 and 55,000 miles while the speedometer kept working. Being they were our daily drivers there was little incentive to pull the dash just to fixed the odometer when the speedometer and all the other gauges worked just fine. Of the seven C2 Corvette I had in the mid 70s only one had a working odometer because it had 38,000 miles on it. Me and my first C2 Corvette fall of 1973 with a broken odometer.

----Most were just restorations, Sam. New faces or complete gauge replacement. Several had already been out and done wrong. Most common was putting the concave glass in backwards (convex). The faces were concave to cancel out reflections. I still see that mistake today, sometimes to nice Vette's otherwise......Bill S

All good info. I am not disputing that odometers can stop working. My point is that the seller is misleading when he states, “.....this possibly could be correct.” The current owner knows whether the odometer is working now or not. That is a foul in my book.

It reminds me of the blue/white 1965 365 Horse that Mecum has for sale with 14,000 miles. That one has white leather seats and original knock-off wheels. A sweet car.

Would you like to elaborate more on why you didnt suggest this car to your customer?
Its running again on ebay and for a survivor 365 convert looks pretty nice. What other pictures did you see that turned you off?
