this is actually a trade request. I was looking through my stash for an OE yellow tipped dip stick and tube for my 1969 BB Pace Car. I only found replacement yellow tips :-(
the good news is that I did find a beautiful salmon tipped dip stick that is correct for 1967 BB applications. This part has not been restored in any way. Maybe used on early 1968 BB also (not sure). This is a very difficult to find part.
I would really like to trade it for an OE yellow tipped dip stick in equivalent condition.
I know that the "for sale" listings are supposed to have a price, but I am really looking for a trade. Admin - feel free to delete if I've broken the rules.

I think I have a yellow tip, but I don't remember the condition. I'll have to check.

Steve or Chris would know for sure but thought I’ve noticed two versions probably two different suppliers where one version had the round flat area like version Freddie showed and another version that much more of the yellow tipped handle was flat.

I've got some more. I'll check tomorrow if I don't forget.

got what I was looking for. Thanks for the responses. This community is GREAT!
For future reference.
Yellow tip Flat handle Part#3925599 was installed on the assembly line as original equipment on:
1968 Camaro-Nova-Chevelle w/396cid.
1969 Camaro-Nova-Chevelle w/396cid. & 427cid.
1970 ALL vehicles w/396cid. & 454cid.
Measures roughly 24-1/4 long.
Shows USE GM6041-M-QUALITY MS OIL E near the bottom of the stick.

I've seen original cars without the 6041-M-quality. Discussion over on CRG - input from John Z.

I have 4 yellow tip flattened handles as Mr. 70 posted
That being said I think the “6041-M-quality”was sometime after 1970
The ones I have “use SE oil” I believe are 1968-70.
I’m no expert just my understanding
Text for pics if I can help

Thanks Joe - I’m no expert either. According to John Z (who is an expert) over on CRG, the OE 1969 BB stick should just say “engine oil” with the “M” (or W).
Maybe Steve or one of the other judges will add to the discussion.
