The Mecum auction seems to have brought all the dealers out of the woodwork....

This is a nice looking car, but it has clearly been restored. Similar to that '68 400 Firebird that came up earlier this week, I thought the HO stripe would have been reserved for 326 cars this year. Anyway, dig the color, not the price.

I thought I had read somewhere that the 400 equipped Firebirds had a different grille; the difference being the horizontal bar in the center of the grille wrapped into the "beak" area of the grille. Am I mistaken? Does this car have the correct grille?

Poorly done in many respects...lacking attention to detail and cleanliness. Sad to see folks present these types of cars in such an unprofessional fashion.

You are correct, 400 cars received a different grille.
