If ever there were a perfect sleeper car, this would be it - just add motor.
To be honest, there is probably a bunch of $$ to be made LS swapping this car and clearing over the paint.

Well, I ended up buying this car. Scuncio, I have you to either thank or blame. :) It's relatively close to me and I had a buddy who lives in Ft. Collins go look at it and complete the transaction off of eBay. Quite frankly, I just needed a good home for a really stout 327, 4-speed, and 12-bolt that I'm tired of tripping over. I'll be picking it up towards the end of the month. Maybe an LS down the road sometime....
Post some pics when you get the 327 in there.

Congrats! That looks like a really clean car - I don’t think you can go wrong with a 327 and a 4-speed.

Cool news, big congrats also looking forward to updates too.
If from Craig Chevrolet Arvada, you can take it back for a few beers to celebrate when completed.

As said, that will be a fun car with the 327. It's illegal to LS a cool old car like that, just sayin'...

I wonder how many of us are out there with Scuncio to blame for at least one night on the couch! I was not able to post when Scuncio posted this 1961 Viking last year but, I ended up buying it due to his post here! Thanks Scuncio! haha. I was out of the country for work and when I bought it off ebay and it was only 30 minutes from my house! I could not pass it up but, when my wife got home from work and saw it staring at her in the driveway, she had some choice words! Nova looks great, enjoy it. Thanks again Scuncio. I'm sure you will be to blame for another purchase in the future.

He keeps posting 66-70 vette's and I, may, eventually, be way deep in the do-do.
I bought a '52 2.5 ton flat bed in Pagosa Springs, CO 10 years ago, with the plan to make it a roll back. I "had" to buy my car trailer to haul it home to Stillwater, MN. Quite the adventure in winter over Wolf Creek Pass...on ice...

Not trying to steal the thread. It has the 283. The bed is not a dump bed. Making it a ramp truck would be awesome.

Thanks, Lynn. I did see that one, but didn't realize it was for race car haulers. 53 pages should keep me occupied for a while. No race cars here, so I won't post my rig.
