I do not think so, but it doesn't help that the paint has been removed with something abrasive. Could be real, but needs very close inspection.

It is my understanding that re-stamping the deck is acceptable in the Corvette world..??? Stamp is very sharp for a 55 year old car. Why do so many of these ads say 'matching' and leave folks to wonder :hmmm:

In the Corvette world does Born With and Matching Number mean the same price range?

I would think “born with” would bring a higher price than “matching numbers”.

They only determine if it meets the standard of being correct in appearance which does not necessarily indicate its born with.
