Hi Gang, I have this freshly rechromed HURST round bar - unfortunately, like they typically do, the rechromer was a little over zealous with the wheel and nearly obliterated the stamp on the tang. The first number is clearly 7, so that says something - and to me, the top of the last mark looks like the third digit would be a four, but without Carnac The Magnificent, who knows.
From the Hurst Shifter book though, first digit numbers beginning with 7 are 2nd Gen F bodies it looks like.
4.5 oz rechromed shifter ball - no idea if original or not, same with the lock nut although it doesn't look anything like the nuts that I have that I'm pretty sure are genuine - may just be a thin regular nut - assembly priced accordingly. Coarse thread. I received this as-is, I did not get it rechromed, I understand that this had been stored for a long time after chroming; I have no idea what the whole number used to be. Sorry.
Take a look at the photos.
$150 PPFF shipped & insured to the 48.
Thanks all,
Anthony
