With some of the crap I've seen listed lately, that would be a cool car to build

William. I have seen early ZL2 Camaros that have the hole there, close to Break booster.
But you guys never listen to me. If you Google you can find a post on CRG that a early SS 350 have the hole there.

I just read through the entire referenced CRG thread and saw no reference to any SS350 built early.
FWIW The earliest hood date I have photos of is 53rd week of 1968 on Bill Hunter's old 01B Yenko.

The car above should have the X code on the rear bulkhead.
If the original quarters are not punched for louvers, with the muncie it would have to be a Z28.

I told the guy to look for the x code on the bulkhead and he didnt seem to find it. It looks like there is a yellow line on the bulkhead to the left in the picture here. I showed him where to look

Ok the 01D SS 350 in Daytona Yellow which a poster referenced.

There certainly is the possibility that a 01D L48 SS is a real ZL2 car, however I cannot believe that the punched hole for the wiring harness would be in a location other than illustrated in the AIM. The wiring hole is above the fuse box in Dave Beem's never restored 12C LA built Z28 ZL2 has tons of docs proving it's authenticity.
