I have what I believe to be 1969 L78/L72 valve covers that have been in storage since the early 2000s. I also have the hold-downs & bolts that were removed with these valve covers. There are 2 different markings on the bolt heads. I would like to know which hardware (if any) are correct, and also if the valve covers are indeed 1969 Camaro pieces. Thanks!

My vote is for the TR head markings - I've only ever seen those myself, but I've never seen them with the hashes - I've seen just plain "TR" heads. But of course, as we all know, many suppliers and never say never...

Those are definitely not 69 Camaro, those are 1970 only Chevelle or Nova L34, L78, LS6.

Thanks! Is the difference in the slanted corner?

The slanted corner on the left side rear & the 3 wire clips on the right side.

...and upon closer inspection, at least two of those hold-downs are SBC... not all born together items IMHO.

Yes, I see that. I have to check my parts bin in case they got mixed up with the others. These covers & hardware were removed from a 69 427/390 Corvette about 20 years ago, so definitely some parts swapping was going on with that car..

I thought all 69 Camaro used the fingernail sized bump out on the inside rear of the driver side cover, to accommodate the drippers. The only difference being the location of the spark wire tower, just ahead of the aft hold down bolt for Camaro, and further forward for the Chevelle.

Is that not correct?

Those are 1970 production valve covers in the 1st post...
Since 1969 Camaro production was extended, wouldn't a very late built 69 Camaro use 1970 production valve covers since production on the other 1970 models already began.

I wish I had a dollar for every time I see guys posting what they think they have are 1969 Camaro Valve covers just because of the location of the plug wire stand on the drivers side. Here is the difference between the 69 Camaro drivers side & the 1970 Only Chevelle & Nova drivers side, the flat spot on the lower rear corner. This photo is 1970 only & has the same plug wire stand as the 69 Camaro.
