Hi Gang, nice barn find radiator here IMHO.
Was told it was a Big Block Chevelle rad, and the evidence leads me to believe it was a 1969 Chevelle 396 or even maybe a 427 rad. Retains the original BR tag 3019205 with original tanks - IA that is ~2" wide & the XP fill side which is wider at ~3" and is dated C for March and the tag shows 9 for 1969 as I understand it. Original 3 row core of unknown condition, assume it will need replacement. top & bottom rails are nice. Factory 3 row core is 28.5" long / wide.
I also believe that this rad, with the exception of the dated tag, could fit / is correct for a number of big block models with an automatic TH400 transmission, such as:
1969 Chevelle BB COPO L72 427 or L78 375hp 396, L34 350hp, L35 325hp
1970 Chevelle LS6 without HD cooling or 4.10 or M22 454 450hp or LS5 390hp or Monte Carlo and El Camino LS5 or LS3 with A/C - it has the correct offset width tanks. For the 3.31 configured LS6 cars I believe, with standard cooling.
1971 any BB Monte Carlo with A/C & auto. - many A&G body models.
And this BR code rad wasn't always for "SS" BB cars I believe.
In any event, here are correct tanks, BR tag, even the AG overflow clip - may be the original hose too.
