The bids have gone crazy for ‘69s on Bring a Trailer recently so this one is being auctioned at the perfect time:

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1969-chevrolet-camaro-z-28-34/

Repainted hugger orange, CE motor, M20 and BU rear, interior changed to 712.

Wasn't an RS [X77] wrong colors [69 B] nom, non-original rear axle.

Not much value remains.

But it has front bumper guards!

I'm just shocked it doesn't have a cross-ram.

I agree with William's assessment. But I bet is still gets bids in excess of $50k.

BAT prices are insane right now.

Going to be plenty of long faces 2-3 years down the road.

Yeah, I would also bet it will see $50k. A nicer example but also NOM went for $80k (!) a few days ago on BaT.

Different crowd on there.

The $80k one had just as many issues as this one.
Non X code with only a BU rear end dated to the car. But the guy had a cool video of him driving it!!

I think the video is what sold it. :) If he had driven it like grandma, it might have cost him $20K. :3gears:

I would have liked this car a lot better in its original Cortez Silver. No offense to guys who have Hugger Orange Z's, but I am getting tired of seeing that color everywhere. And I used to own an original 72 code X-33 car. I used to get a little miffed at all of the "imposters" at the cruises in X44 cars that were originally Fathom Green. :)

Wasn't that one a restamp? I can't remember for sure.

I'm a big fan of Cortez silver with the black vinyl combination. My 1969 X11 under construction is a 69B and I was going to leave the vinyl top off but now as I get older I really think I'll go back to a vinyl top. There are better pictures on the web but this was quick and easy.

I like the VT too, especially on 69's. I think this particular car would have looked much nicer in the original Cortez Silver with black stripes. Being that it appears that it may very well be a CE warranty block early in it's life, that would help it sell, IMO.

Bid to $53k and didn't meet reserve...

Bid to $53k and didn't meet reserve...

Typical sales scheme, set the reserve sky high and see how high the bid gets. He can then decide if he wants to offer it at the high bid, or try again. Sounds like he SHOULD sell it, but maybe he's not that, um, what I was going to say would be considered politically in-correct...:dunno:

Seller should have taken the cash on this one. $53k was good money with all the issues this has.
