Neat car with a white painted top and a stick...would be a ton of fun to drop a mild 455 into and go cruising.

What car chase? That's how everybody drove in NYC back then.
P.S. Sounds like they used the same emgine soundtrack from the Bullitt chase scene, along with the 12 speed transmission that was always upshifting.
P.P.S. The also used the same bad guy to drive the dark blue Pontiac as they used to drive the Bullitt black Dodge Charger!

They did use the engine sounds from Bullitt, the sound was actually from a GT40 that required double clutching when shifting.
Bill Hickman was the driver of the Charger in Bullitt and The Pontiac in Seven Ups. The Pontiac got a severe weight reduction and suspension mods for Seven Ups.
