Check out the dog dish caps with the rally wheel trim rings...I always thought these were a pre-production photo item. Looks like they were RPO...
Curious to hear what the gurus think......:hmmm:

I tried to buy this off ebay a few years ago. This is an old picture of it, early 70s maybe. It was not this nice on ebay. Anyway, it had dog dish and trim rings. RS SS L78, deluxe interior. It was quite the machine

So it looks like the wheel was painted body color when the dog dish caps and trim rings were used. Mine came with the N95 wire wheel covers - still had one on it when I bought the car. Gawd-awful ugly, IMO.
I wonder why they cancelled the N66 wheel option? IMO that was the best looking wheel that was offered. Only about 300 installed. Now you see them everywhere.

I knew that picture was going to be educational when I found it back in the archive area at Heritage in 2011. It was taken on I-75 northbound by a Norwood Manager who was on the way to HQ at Detroit. The photo was taken because of the failed vacuum system on the headlight door. Plant quality ratings were significant to the management team at that time.
If you have a copy of Echoes of Norwood you can see it on page 115.
