Clean looking car - albeit with Z/28 stripes - not sure how much the seller is looking to get for this one, but it's currently at $29k with the reserve not yet met.

Why do you figure it’s not an SS?

Wasn’t all the 4P 350 CI cars SS’s or RS’s?

No, L30 can have the 4P, all of his badges are RS. if real deal SS, then MU or MS suffix code for mandatory SS 350 car, 3SL is Rally Sport.

Can't see a clear pic of the firewall to know where the speedo cable is entering. L30 would have had a Saginaw trans and a different entry location than a Muncie, although the round traction bar does point to an SS. Can't remember if they were putting them on the L30/M20 cars too ?? I thought I'd read on CRG that they were at some point.

I think I’ve read that also that they were putting the round traction bar on the smaller V8’s late in the model year.
My first car was a 67 Camaro 350 l. It had a Muncie transmission, 12 bolt and round traction bar. RS car, I’ve got two old pics of it. Not smart enough to figure out how to copy them and put them up for you guys to see it.

This car was for sale on ebay in August 2011 advertised as a restored Z-28, which the seller is not claiming now. With the 01A build date, it would have had the round bar axle.

But probably too early for the L30 cars. I thought the big blocks only got the square bar ? Or did all the cars with bars get the square one later, when the round bar stock ran out ?
It does resemble a Z28 more than an SS. Maybe the current owner bought it as a Z and found out it isn't. Is the vin number in any Z28 registries ?

Sold off-line... probably got an offer he couldn't refuse.
This listing was ended by the seller because the item is no longer available.
So then eBay charged him their selling/listing fees too?
Read where that if you cross post or cancel an eBay auction early, they treat that like you sold it behind their curtain.

No clue what their rules are now. It used to be that if the seller stated it was for sale locally, they only paid listing fee, but I'm sure that has changed.

So was this thing in fact a Z/28? When did they switch from using the 4P on the early 67 Z's?
