----Good looking 70, but lots wrong under the hood. Start with the stamp pad as the biggest problem, then look at other stuff like the master cylinder, and on and on. I think the car could be a great enjoyable car from what we all see, but you would have to check it out!.....Bill S

Looks like a typical Kansas stamping to me.

I was thinking the same thing but bit my tongue. The pad looks good to me and the vin looks to match the trans nicely too from what I can see.

I'm no expert, but see something in the vin I've seen before that was not good. Paging Rick Nelson...

That was my car for a few years. It’s 100% legit but the only thing left on it is the engine trans and rear unfortunately it’s gotten into the hands of flippers multiple times and everyone has taken parts off it over time.

Like I said recently. Just because they were a well restored and correct car with original parts 5 years ago does not mean they still are. These jack offs will make money any way they can including removing parts from a car and replacing them with repop junk therefor double dipping of sorts.

As for the stamp, I have several 1216 assembly dates in my data base and this one matches it exactly. I also do not see anything wrong with the VIN stamp. It has a bounce double stamp but that is not unusual.

So what would it cost to put it back w OEM parts? Just curious because the price seems “ fair”?

I had spoke with the gentleman who owned the car from 77-2016 he said when he sold it the intake carb water pump and exhaust manifolds were in the trunk by time I got it in early 2018 that was all gone. Oh well. If I’d known it would be so difficult to replace the car I would have just kept it
